Flutist Julianna Eidle is a dynamic performer and educator bringing a fresh perspective to classical music. Performing throughout North America and Europe, she is an experienced solo and ensemble musician. She has performed at the Galway Flute Festival (Switzerland), the Domaine Forget International Music Festival (Canada) and the Orford Music Academy (Canada). As an orchestral musician, Julianna has worked under the batons of Thomas Wilkins, Carl St. Claire, Giancarlo Guerrero and Krysztof Penderecki among others. An advocate for new music, Julianna has premiered over 20 works for solo flute and ensemble. She has worked with composers including Andrew Norman, Gabriela Ortiz, Carlos Sanchez-Gutierrez, Alejandro Escuer and Jeffrey Mumford and performed at the Society of Composers, Inc. Student National Conference and the Midwest Composers Symposium. As a recitalist, Julianna seeks to diversify the traditional cannon, championing underplayed and forgotten works. She passionately promotes the work of female composers and supports diverse leadership within the classical music community.
In 2019, Julianna began her Master of Music studies at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), concurrently serving as the CCM Graduate Assistant in Flute. She teaches CCM undergraduate flutists and maintains a private teaching studio in the greater Cincinnati area. Julianna previously graduated from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, receiving the Performer Diploma and Bachelor of Music degrees. Julianna’s primary teachers include Demarre McGill, Thomas Robertello, Kathryn Lukas, and Christina Smith.
