Kathleen Moran is from Los Angeles, California and is in her fourth year at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) as a bassoon performance major currently studying with Christopher Sales and previously with William Winstead. Prior to CCM, she studied bassoon for six years with John Campbell. She was a member of the Colburn Wind Ensemble and the Asia America Youth Symphony. Kathleen has also attended summer programs at the National Symphony Orchestra’s Summer Music Institute, Miami Classical Music Festival, Tanglewood, Interlochen, and Idyllwild as well as participated in the Southern California School Band & Orchestra Association, California Band Directors Association, and the California Orchestra Directors Association Honor groups. She is excited to be a part of New Downbeat.
