Naomi Guth earned her B.M. in 2018 and her M.M. in 2020, both in Cello Performance from Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. She is currently completing her Doctorate in Cello performance at CCM with a cognate in conducting. Naomi has studied under Ilya Finkelshteyn during her time at CCM and has gained experience in a number of various chamber and orchestral settings. Naomi played with The Belle Piano Trio from 2016-2018, Cincinnatus Quartet from 2021-2022, Genese Quartet from 2023-2024, and is currently a core cellist in the Ember Quartet, Rose String Trio and the Hawthorn Quartet. While working with The Cincinnatus Quartet, the group won top prize for quartet in the 2021 International Clara Schumann Competition. When she is not working in chamber music and teaching, Naomi works as a section cellist for Richmond Symphony in Indiana, Ohio Valley Symphony, Charleston Symphony Orchestra, Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, Queen City Opera, Blue Ash Symphony Orchestra and a number of regional orchestras. When she is not playing cello Naomi likes to take walks in the park, bake, play Zelda, hang out with friends, and play with her cat Jules.
