A native of Medellin, Colombia, Valentina received her Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Antioquia as well as Conservatoire Royal de Mons, Belgium, followed by a Master’s in Flute Performance from the University of Missouri. Her primary professors include Hugo Espinosa, Elizabeth Osorio, Alice K. Dade, and Demarre McGill. She was part of the New Music Ensemble at the University of Missouri and served as a substitute musician with the Missouri Symphony Orchestra.

In 2022, Valentina performed the Mozart Flute Concerto in G major as a soloist with the University Philharmonic Orchestra, and in the same year, she was also a winner of the Emerging Artist competition at the same University. Currently, she works as the Flute Studio Graduate Assistant at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where she is pursuing a Doctoral of Musical Arts degree. She serves as a virtual assistant in the organization Music 360 and teaches flute through her online Flute Studio. Valentina has taught students of all ages in different academies and music programs in both Colombia and the USA. In the summer of 2024, she was the flute instructor at the French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts.
